How to Get Into the KPMG Apprenticeship — Stage by Stage

Salary: £22,000–£26,000Length: 5 yearsAcceptance: 3–5%

The KPMG 360° Apprenticeship has an acceptance rate of around 3–5%. Here's exactly how to go from application to offer — stage by stage.

The Process, In Order

1

Online Application

Complete the application form — personal details, grades, and motivational questions. Application window: October–February for the following September start.

2

Online Assessments

Job simulation — a multi-stage online exercise simulating a day at KPMG including emails, data tasks, and situational scenarios

3

Video Interview

No separate video interview stage — KPMG's job simulation replaces this step for most applicants

4

Assessment Centre

Business case presentation

What the Top Candidates Do Differently

  • Apply in the first two weeks of the window opening — roles fill on a rolling basis
  • Prepare 5–7 STAR stories before starting the application — you'll need them at multiple stages
  • Know KPMG's business in detail — not just the sector. KPMG anchors their assessment around five values. Every competency answer should map to at least one. Mentioning KPMG's values by name (and genuinely showing them) sets strong candidates apart.
  • Practice the online tests with the actual provider formats — not generic aptitude apps
  • Record a video interview practice session and watch it back before the real thing
